I attended camp Pass Set Crush for two years, starting in 2001, all the way from Montreal, Canada. It was such a great way to meet new friends and this is where my love for volleyball started. The skills I learned from that first year at camp helped me make it on my high school volleyball team the following year. Eventually I became a co-captain and MVP on my team. I went on to play volleyball at McGill University as well as play for the Quebec provincial team for several years. I became the McGill team MVP, and I made it on the First All-Canadian team when we went to Nationals during my senior year. I will now be spending a year training as a carded athlete at the Canadian Full-time Training Center in Winnipeg with the Team Canada coach in the hopes of making it on the Canadian National Team in the future.

Cheers,

Kaiva Mateus
Dear Coach Forge, Thanks sooo much for getting me into this camp. It was so much fun & I learned a ton. I felt so out of place when I first came but everyone was so friendly so I quickly made tons of friends. I had so much fun here & you have a great program (I wish I could come next year!) Once again, thank you. You are a great coach & a nice person. Thanks. — Erin
Dear All Coaches at Pass Set Crush, Thank you for making volleyball funner than I could ever imagine. I had a great time everywhere I went. You guys pushed up to get better and I’m glad you did. You girls are awesome. I really want to thank Bristol though because you were funny in the cabin and you are very flexible with what ever we really did! — Abby
Dear Krysten, You are hilarious! You are so scary good at chubby bunny! Thanks for always making me laugh.Dear Kat,You are unbelievable! You were always cheering for us and kept our spirits up the whole week! You made me laugh and made me a better player. Thanks so much! — Brenna
Dear Coaching Staff, Throughout the past week I have become a better volleyball player. I would just like to thank you all so much for contributing to that. My experience here was great and I will not forget you guys. — Bianca
Coach Forge, Thanks for this opportunity. I will remember it forever. — Anna
Hello Coach Forge,

I would like to thank you very much for helping me to grow and improve as a volleyball player. My time at Pass Set Crush helped me to achieve my current position as starter for varsity on my high school volleyball team as a freshman, I play for Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, MA. I am the only freshmen who made varsity and I am currently the starting outside hitter. Thank you!!

I hope you have a great season and that we will be in touch again soon. — Cathryn
Dear Coach Forge, My experience at Pass Set Crush was great. I believe the coaching staff really helped me to improve my volleyball skills. I really appreciate all your hard work and effort in making this camp the best. I had lots of fun and met some great friends. I am sad to leave. I’ll miss your singing/alarm clock at six in the morning (even though I won’t miss waking up!) I’m also going to miss your great fires started with only one match and all the marshmellows/somores. Thanks again. — Colleen
Dear Coaches, Thank you soooo much! Camp was awesome. You guys helped me a lot to be a better volleyball player. Thanks for letting us stalk you for our skit even though it must have been really creepy. We all hope that you liked it a lot! I hope to see you all again. — Mary
My numero uno goal is to be a counselor someday and be as totally awesome as you guys! You guys really inspired me on the court and I don’t want to leave you. — Courtney
I wish camp wasn’t over, but it is. It’s very sad that I have to go because this is my last year. I hope that some day I am as good as you. Thanks for everything and being so amazing. I love you all.

Karly is so looking forward to her second year at Pass Set Crush. I am sure you hear this all the time…however, we just have to say, and cannot fully express what a great experience and confidence booster your camp was for Karly last summer. It was truly a positive learning and growing experience for her, and frankly, the catalyst to her choosing volleyball over soccer!

Along with playing basketball for her school’s team this winter, she is also participating in the Lakes Region Juniors Volleyball program and is on their 14U travel team. She absolutely loves going to volleyball every week and does the workout routine they prescribe for the girls religiously! So, she is dual sporting…AGAIN! As long as she is happy, healthy and keeping up her grades, her father and I are pleased that we are able to afford her these wonderful opportunities.

I have been approached by several parents here in Gilmanton asking my opinion of Pass Set Crush. My enthusiastic answer: “It is wonderful and worth every penny! I will definitely be sending Karly again next year!” As parents, we love the fact that there are no electronic devices or electricity and all the great photos you take and post on your site of the girls. Keep up the great work and we look forward to another awesome season for Karly and all the girls at Pass Set Crush!!

Hi Joan:

I just wanted to thank you again for taking such good care of Brenna this past week. Most overnight camps are off limits to her because of her Celiac Disease, but not only did you guys feed her safely, you spoiled her! She told me a few times on the ride home how good the food was and how the kitchen staff made special food for her at each meal. We both truly appreciate it.

Hi Joan. It was great to see you again. Nicole had a fantastic time and definitely wants to go again next year! In the short time Larry & I watched her, I could see her improvement both skill wise and in her leadership on the court. I’m so glad she’s coming into her own. Have a restful, quiet weekend! And thanks again for having such a GREAT camp!! — Jackie
Dear Joan,

I just wanted to say thank you to you and all your coaches for giving my daughter such a wonderful experience at Pass Set Crush!

On the day of arrival, I wasn't sure how well she would do considering her lack of enthusiasm and now that she's back....well I have to say I'm so please to see such a wonderful twinkle in her eye! She has not stopped talking about all the fun things she did, things that she learned, people she met and the "awesome" food she ate!!

If you ever decide to up the age limit please let us know. Cheyanne would LOVE to be a return camper.

Keep up the great job and enjoy the rest of your summer.

Bobbi-Jo
Hi Joan, You put on such a great camp. You need to up the age group to 18 (like you have nothing better to do) — Jason
After attending Pass Set Crush last summer, Jackie and Grace tried out for the Marlborough High Freshmen Volleyball Team. They both made it. What makes this a success story is that they both made it as 8th graders (because 8th graders attend the high school in Marlborough, they qualify to play freshmen sports). What also contributes to this success story is that prior to Pass Set Crush, neither of them had any formal volleyball experience.
My daughter Rhiannon attended the first session of pass-set-crush... she had a great time and already wants to go next year... — Nancy
Again, my daughter Kathryn had a great time at camp. Thank You. — Kathy
Hi Joan, Just a quick note of thanks! The three of us had a great week at Pass Set Crush! It is a great opportunity for us and it is a fantastic camp giving young girls a chance to be exposed not only to excellent volleyball but other fun activities! — Cindy
