Pass Set Crush Director Joan Forge

joan_forgeJoan Forge is a physical education teacher and coach at Gilford High School in Gilford, New Hampshire. Joan has her masters degree in sports and recreation management and has been a teacher and coach of girl's sports for over 30 years. Her expertise in the sport of volleyball has helped Gilford earn 14 appearances in the state finals, including 12 state championships in the past 14 years. Coach Forge was also named the Northeast Sectional Volleyball "Coach of the Year" by the National Federation of High School Sports in 2002 and 2004, and the 2006 NH Division II Volleyball Coach of the Year. Coach Forge brings with her an outstanding coaching staff. Campers will receive personal attention from a staff that includes: Junior Olympic coaches, high school coaches, college players, and high school players.

Congratulations Anna Nicolai, Samantha Watterson and Rachel Landry, members of the Gilford High School Volleyball team for capturing the DII Volleyball State Championship title.

Congratulations to Britt McNally for being selected to the New Hampshire DI Volleyball All State Team, Caitlyn Bradbury for being selected to the New Hampshire DII Volleyball All State Team, and Jordan Pelzcar for being selected to the New Hampshire DIII Volleyball All State Team.

Congratulations to Ally Murphy for making the Endicott College volleyball team and Lori West for making the Plymouth State University volleyball team.

Congratulations to Joan Forge for coaching Gilford High School to their 9th consecutive state title. This accomplishment ranks Gilford 6th in the country for championship wins in a row according to the National Federation of High School Sports record book.

Congratulations Lori West, Megan Korber, and Samantha Watterson, members of the Gilford High School Volleyball Team, for capturing the Division II Volleyball State Championship title.

Congratulations to Kelsea Forsberg from Moultonborough Academy for being selected to the New Hampshire Division III Volleyball All State Team.

Congratulations to Joan Forge for being selected as the New Hampshire Division II Volleyball Coach of the Year. Joan coached Gilford High School to their 8th consecutive state title.  This accomplishment ranks Gilford 7th in the country for Championship Wins in a Row according to the National Federation of High School Sports Record Book.

Pass Set Crush would like to congratulate our 2005 staff:

Ally Murphy from Gilford was selected to the New Hampshire Class M/S All State Team. Murphy and teammate Alicia Bean were also members of the Gilford High School Volleyball team who captured the Class M/S Volleyball State Championship title.

Joan Forge coached Gilford High School to their 7th consecutive state title.  This accomplishment ranks Gilford 10th in the country for wins in a row according to the National Federation of High School Record Book.  Gilford also holds the state record for most consecutive wins— 92 in a row!

Congratulations to Jordan Pelzar and Coach Randy Mattson from Inter-Lakes High School for defeating Gilford and stopping their five year winning streak.

Finally, Pass Set Crush would like to congratulate Lindsey Carr, a camper from last year, who made the New Hampshire Class M/S All State Team as a freshman and was a member of the Class M/S State Championship team.

Pass Set Crush would like to congratulate our 2004 staff:

Taylor Forsberg from Moultonborough was selected to the New Hampshire All State Team, she was named the 2004 Class S Player of the Year, and her high school Team won the Class S state championship.

Rachel Burack and Kate McGourty of Inter-Lakes were selected to the New Hampshire All State Team, and along with teammate Courtney Quinney, their high school team finished as the Class M State Runner-Up.

Sarah Wainwright of Gilford was selected to the New Hampshire All State Team and both Sarah and Krysten Stewart's high school team won the Class M state championship.

Coach Joan Forge of Gilford High School was selected the Class M Coach of the Year. In 2004, Gilford won it's 6th consecutive state championship. Gilford also currently holds the state record for most consecutive wins. 85 wins in a row!
