Katie Kardinal and Jenni Harmon Scholarships

KATIE KARDINAL SCHOLARSHIPS

The Katie Kardinal Scholarships were established to give girls the opportunity to attend Pass Set Crush Volleyball Camp, which they might not be able to attend because of financial circumstances.

Pass Set Crush Volleyball Camp is more than a volleyball camp. Campers improve their volleyball skills and knowledge while developing confidence, independence, teamwork, responsibility, and friendships. Our overnight camp experience also includes outdoor recreational activities that create memories beyond the volleyball court.

The Katie Kardinal Scholarships provide $600 toward the $800 camp tuition, and each camper's family is only responsible for the remaining $200.

Who is eligible?
Scholarships are available to girls who meet the grade-level requirements for Pass Set Crush Volleyball Camp and who meet one or more of the following criteria:
  • Their family demonstrates financial need.
  • Their family is managing the financial demands of having multiple children involved in sports or other activities.
  • The applicant demonstrates the qualities of a great teammate, including a positive attitude, kindness, respect for others, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Previous volleyball experience, athletic ability, and skill level are not determining factors in the selection process. We believe every young athlete deserves the opportunity to experience the friendships, personal growth, life lessons, outdoor adventures, and love of volleyball that are at the heart of Pass Set Crush Volleyball Camp.

These scholarships are intended to help provide that opportunity to girls who might not otherwise be able to attend an overnight volleyball camp.

Scholarship applications will be reviewed confidentially. Awards will be based on the eligibility criteria above, the individual circumstances of each applicant, and the availability of scholarship funds.

ABOUT KATIE KARDINAL

The Katie Kardinal Scholarships honor the impact that volleyball can have far beyond the court.
Katie played volleyball at Gilford High School for Coach Joan Forge, director of Pass Set Crush Volleyball Camp. An outstanding athlete, Katie was named New Hampshire Volleyball Player of the Year before continuing her collegiate volleyball career at Bentley College, where she set program records.

While Katie's accomplishments on the court were impressive, she believes volleyball's greatest rewards are the lessons she carried long after her playing career ended. As part of a team, she learned hard work, confidence, commitment, resilience, leadership, and the importance of working toward a common goal.

Katie credits many of those lessons, the relationships and experiences she gained through volleyball, with helping shape the strong, successful woman she is today.

Through these scholarships, Katie wants to give young girls the same opportunity: to use volleyball as a classroom for life.
She hopes girls who might not otherwise have the financial means to attend Pass Set Crush Volleyball Camp will have the chance to learn, compete, make friendships, experience new adventures, and discover their own strength and potential.
